Starting point: the University District in Lübeck
The Hanseatic City of Lübeck and the Land Schleswig-Holstein are developing a University District in the south of Lübeck in an area of approximately 2,3 mio m².
With the main focus on medicine, natural sciences and technology, the aim is to promote science, research and development, to attract innovative companies as well as to create favourable conditions for working and living in an environment that stimulates innovations.
In the long-term city development this is an ambitious and extensive project. The new University District will be twice the size of the old town center of Lübeck.
